No experience is required, just a desire to help animals and some basic communications/people skills. You will not be on your own to take care of these responsibilities. You will be assigned a foster coordinator who will help with any steps in the process that are new or confusing to you.
Finalizing contract and payment with applicant. Arranging and attending meet and greets / home visits with your foster animal, Calling applicant's vet to ensure animals are regularly vetted, We have vets in Chesterfield, Wentzville, and Ofallon, IL.Īdditionally, as the person who knows your foster animal best, we ask that you assist in the adoption process.
Transport your foster to/from vet appointments. Occasionally we have special events in other locations. Events are regularly held at Petco in Dardenne Prairie and Petco in South County. Attend at least 2 adoption events a month. In addition to providing a loving home for your foster pet, we also ask that you help out in other ways. So, we are very grateful for our awesome fosters.Īs a large and growing rescue we do ask for some help from our fosters. If we do not have a foster for a dog or a cat we can not rescue them.
